Tomorrow duly came and we had a very pleasant ride west then north from Burley before turning east and up onto the higher part of the New Forest. From here we headed south and enjoyed a very pleasant, mainly downhill, ride along the ornamental drive through to Brockenhurst.
John C had suffered a tyre failure during the morning, so had gone ahead to find a bike shop in Brockenhurst. By the time the rest of us had settled down for lunch, John had got his new tyre fitted.
For the afternoon part of the ride we headed east and south past Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard before turning westward for a varied and interesting route back to the hotel in Burley.
